Cassette units run for long stretches in spaces where several people are relying on them at once, which makes buildup on the turbo fan and drain pump more consequential than it might be at home. This service washes both directly, checks the pump for function rather than just appearance, and leaves a written note for whoever keeps the building's maintenance record.
The problem
A cassette unit that's begun to drip near the panel, run louder than before, or send out an odour when it starts is often carrying a drain pan or pump that hasn't been cleared in some time. Because these units sit flush in the ceiling, that kind of buildup is easy to miss during a routine glance — it usually isn't noticed until it becomes audible or visible.
The solution
We remove the decorative panel, protect the ceiling tiles and surrounding surfaces, then wash the turbo fan and heat exchanger under high pressure. The drain pan and pump are cleaned and function-tested, since a pump that runs but doesn't clear water fully is easy to overlook without checking it directly.
The experience
Because this work involves more preparation than a wall unit and a period with the unit switched off, we normally arrange it outside opening hours for offices, shops, and clinics. The full visit runs two and a half to three hours; by the end, the panel is washed and reinstalled and the unit is back in operation.
