Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions form a binding agreement between you and Rapid Griffin Godo Kaisha when you use this website or arrange a service through it. Please read them before submitting an enquiry.

1. User Obligations

1.1 Conduct: When submitting the contact form, you agree to provide accurate contact details so we can respond.

1.2 Prohibited activities: Using the site to submit false information, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with normal operation is not permitted.

1.3 Age: This site and its services are intended for use by adults arranging services for their own household or premises.

2. User Responsibilities

2.1 Compliance: You agree to comply with applicable laws when using this site and arranging services.

2.2 Access to premises: Where a service visit is arranged, you agree to provide reasonable access to the relevant equipment.

2.3 Third parties: If arranging a visit on behalf of a business or landlord, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

3. Disclaimers and Limitations

3.1 Disclaimer of warranties: Service outcomes described on this site (e.g. restored airflow) reflect typical results and are not guaranteed for every unit, which may vary in age and condition.

3.2 Limitation of liability: Rapid Griffin Godo Kaisha's liability in connection with services is limited to the value of the service provided, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable Japanese law.

3.3 Force majeure: We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

4. Legal Information

4.1 Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

4.2 Disputes: Disputes will first be addressed directly between the parties; if unresolved, the courts having jurisdiction over Kobe, Hyogo will apply.

4.3 Severability: If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.

4.4 Changes: We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies at the time of your enquiry.

5. Before the visit

5.1 Clear space: Please clear the area below each unit so a drop sheet and a step ladder can be set up, roughly one metre each way. Fragile items on nearby shelves are best moved.

5.2 Power and water: We need access to a power outlet and a tap for rinsing parts. Units are switched off at the breaker or the plug before the casing is opened.

6. During the visit

6.1 What we do: For each unit, the casing and filters are removed, electrical parts are covered, and the heat exchanger and fan are washed with a cleaning solution and rinsed into a drainage bag. The drain pan is cleaned and the unit is test-run before we leave.

6.2 What we do not do: Cleaning does not include refrigerant work, electrical repair or the replacement of broken parts. If we find a fault, we tell you what we saw and suggest who to contact; we do not carry out repairs ourselves.

7. Older and damaged units

7.1 Plastic parts: On units more than about ten years old, louvres, clips and panels can become brittle. We handle them carefully, but a part that breaks because it has aged will be pointed out to you and is not something we can compensate for.

7.2 Existing faults: Noise, leaks or error codes present before cleaning are recorded on the job sheet with photographs before we start, so that both sides know the unit's condition on arrival.

8. Changing or cancelling a booking

8.1 Rescheduling: A visit can be moved free of charge if you tell us by the end of the previous working day.

8.2 Same-day cancellation: If a technician arrives and cannot get access, or the booking is cancelled on the day, we may charge the travel cost stated in the booking confirmation.

9. Payment

9.1 Timing: Payment is due on completion of the visit, by the methods listed in the booking confirmation. A receipt showing each unit and its price is issued on the same day.

10. Complaints after a visit

10.1 Reporting: If water drips from a unit, an odour returns quickly, or a panel does not sit correctly after a visit, please contact us within seven days with a photograph. We will return to check the unit, and if the problem was caused by the cleaning we will correct it without charge.

11. Units in shared buildings

11.1 Building rules: In condominiums and office buildings, some management associations require notice of contractor visits or restrict work to certain hours. Please check this before the booking; if a visit cannot go ahead because building rules were not met, it is treated as a same-day cancellation.
